How to Make the Most out of a Small Outdoor Space

With spring underway and summer almost here, I am so happy to have outdoor space to enjoy it. When I bought my condo, one of my top wishes was to have some space to be outside. I fell in love with my condo as soon as I saw the covered porch. It may not be big, but I have made the most out of it.

My Porch:

My porch is a warm and inviting space that has you wanting to spend lots of time on it. It is a perfect square with screens on two sides. The other two sides have doors, one with a window and one with some wall space. It may be small, but it lends itself to all kinds of decor choices.

The other day I visited a friend who also has a small porch. She has been trying to decide what kind of furniture she wanted. She has a long rectangular porch, so I suggested getting an L-shaped couch with a coffee table and an umbrella that pivots. I find this is the best way to utilize the space. I also suggested getting a few folding chairs if they have a larger group over. It is so helpful to use your space wisely so you can get the most out of it.
It is crucial to make the most out of a small space so you will want to use it and not feel cramped. Spring is the best time to find the best pieces to decorate your porch since the stores have the most inventory. You should pick timeless solid colors for your furniture. By doing this, your furniture will last for years and not go out of style. Your porch does not need to feel boring because you are using neutral colors. You can spruce it up with patterned pillows and fun accessories. These are easier to change out and less expensive than having to change the furniture. I love decorating, so I offered to help find the perfect furniture for her porch.
