I am not sure how November is already, but that means Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and I am so excited. My whole family always gets together; in Philly (where my family lives), we have a rolling list of others joining us. This year my sister in laws parents, aunt and uncle are coming. This will be a fun-filled holiday with lots of people to celebrate with.

I am already planning out my outfits. I love getting to dress up and wear my newer pieces. We have visited a nice restaurant in Fairmount Park in the past few years. Then after dinner, we go for a walk/hike. Because of this, I have been wearing a top, pants, and sneakers. This year we are having dinner at my brother’s house. So I am considering getting a dress since we will be in the house. Although I could get a top, I need help to decide. I can’t be the only person looking for a new piece to wear for Thanksgiving!

There are so many great options for Thanksgiving that you can then wear for Holiday parties. I love versatile pieces that can go from one holiday to the next. I also like pieces that are easy to wear, comfortable, can accessorize (Accessories finish off an outfit), and feel like a million dollars in.

I also love finding dresses from Smaller stores because you are supporting small, and others may not have seen them. Don’t get me wrong; I still like finding dresses from the bigger stores too. I am a fan of a pop of color and pattern. A floral print can be worn in any season, depending on the color. I also like gingham, tartan, or plaid. However, there is something to be said about a solid-colored dress. With solid color, I would wear an accessory necklace with some pizzas. Maybe something that is long and has some colored gemstones.

A lot of the dresses and tops this season have gem tones. Gem tones stand out and are classic colors year after year. This season, traditional patterns will also stay in style for a long time. As I mentioned above, great tartans, plaids, and florals fit anyone’s taste. There are also many tops and dresses in a wide price range to fit anyone’s budget. I know that the stores I am sharing make pieces of quality material and come in various sizes.
9 clothing pieces perfect for Thanksgiving

For example, I have the Nap Dress above ( in navy). This is a dress that you will be cherished for years to come. The Nap Dress can be worn in the spring and summer with sandals in fall and winter, a cardigan, turtle neck, a long-sleeve top, boots, and flats. It is truly a versatile dress everyone will love. I get tons of compliments on it.

The Red sweater, also from Hill House, brings in a pop of color and a puff statement sleeve. It would look great with a pair of skinny pants and brown boots. This would be a comfortable outfit to wear all day. It will keep you warm for those family football games, after-dinner strolls or sitting by the fire pit.
Another great look is the emerald green turtleneck dress is another excellent option to keep you warm. This dress would look fabulous with boots or flats accompanied by tights or nylons. It would also look lovely with a statement necklace (Long and dangled).

The White lace top from Hillhouse would look great with jeans and flats. It would dress up a pair of jeans, but you would not look too dressy. It would also look great for a holiday party with ankle-length pants.

The floral V-neck top. It would look stunning with pink or navy blue corduroy pants. You could also wear it with velvet pants. I would accessorize it with a shawl or cardigan in white or navy blue. I would wear a pair of flats and statement earrings with it. If earrings are not your thing, you could wear bracelets stacked in gold or silver.

I am all for comfort, and the off-white ruffled sweatshirt is a sweatshirt that looks more like a sweater. With the ruffles across the chest, it dresses up the look. I could see this with a pair of jeans and boots. It will be perfect if you are spending time outside.

I am all about anything blue and or floral. This dress from Anthropologie has both of those. It is long, so your legs will keep warm, and it is in a lovely blue jewel tone. I could pair this with a cardigan if it is a chillier day.

The Black Jardine Mini dress has a perfect fall feel with its muted colors, leaf, and floral pattern. This would look great on us shorter girls because it is a shorter dress. A tiered dress with flutter sleeves looks great on any body type.

I love a classic-looking dress! This green turtleneck sweater dress from Tuckernuck fits this to a tee. It will look good on any body type and could be worn with boots, flats, or sneakers, depending on what you are doing for Thanksgiving.

Last but not least, this burnt orange dotted dress from Anthropologie is a dress that I could see someone wearing for Thanksgiving and out for drinks or dinner. It is a versatile dress that can be dressed up or down depending on your jewelry and shoes. I think a pair of brown boots would look fabulous with this dress.
It can sometimes feel daunting to find a new piece for a specific occasion; that is one of the reasons I wanted to share some thanksgiving options with you. This will help you more easily find what you are looking for and help narrow down your choices. I look forward to hearing below in the comments what your favorite piece is.
