We are coming upon the wedding season. So with that, we will be invited to at least one wedding. I know I have been! I got an invitation to my cousin’s wedding this June. As soon as I got the invitation, I went straight to my closet to see what I had to wear.
Of course, after two years of no weddings or events, I had one dress that was too wintery and one that I could get away with but would not work with the new heals I bought. So I need to find a new dress. The dress needs to be fancier because the wedding is optional, black-tie. Because it is a spring wedding, a floral or spring color would be perfect.
Picking out the perfect wedding guest dress:
When picking out a dress, you should consider what style, sleeve, and length work best for your body. There are a few styles aline, straight, and tiered. Sleeve options are a long, elbow-length, short, bubble, spaghetti strap, and strapless.
Where to find the perfect spring wedding guest dresses
Nordstrom- Has a large dressed section. They have dresses in a variety of styles and price points. They have their dresses in areas. Some Nordstroms have wedding sections where you can also find lovely wedding guest dresses.
Bloomingdales- This is another excellent place to find dresses. They have a few different departments with various dresses at various price points. They have a fancy dress section and a whole floor with other brands that have some dressier dresses. In addition, Bloomingdales has its own brand Aqua which carries pieces at a reasonable price.
Tuckernuck- Carries a variety of clothing pieces. I love their dress selection because they have something for anybody’s type. Their dresses have classic lines with a trendy spin. Their dresses are at a higher price point, but you will wear them for years. They have their line along with a few other brands. They also have some great shoes and jewelry that will go with any one of their dresses.
