Warm clothing post for a frigid day….
As the temps dip to below 0 in Boston and I am waiting for a jump start on my car. I started to think about cuddling up under a warm blanket and never going out. But for most of us that can’t happen, so here are some ideas for cold weather keep warm clothing. One of my favorite items in my closet are my sweaters. I think sweaters are essential item that everyone should have. Why do I say that? Because they are stylish yet have function. They are great, you can layer with them if it is cold out. If you going to some where you know it will be warm, you can wear your sweater out and then remove it when you get to your destination. Two of the most classic sweater types are the fireisland and cable nit. My fireisland sweater I bought from LLbean a few years ago I still get compliments on. Below you will see some sweater ideas. Another keep warm item I love are fun winter hats, scarves and mittens. These items come in many price ranges so any one can afford then (especially if you are like me who looses my mittens at the beginning of every season). I think buying classic styles of these items is good because you can use them for years and years. I know most of you probably have your favorite mittens, hat and scarf you have had for years. One other essential keep warm item is a good pair of boots these can also have function and style. One great pair of boots that can serve duel preposes are the hunter boots they can be rain boots, but if you put wellies in them( those are the thick sock like liners) they can become winter boots. Other boots like Sorel’s, or bean boots. They are taller boots and have liners in them that will keep you warm all winter long. Form, function and style are the key elements to keeping warm all winter while looking good.
