Spring Event Season Night in White for a Cure….
June usually starts the spring events season. Many of these events are centered around causes. The Night in White is no exception. I have had Crohn’s disease for about 11 years. When I was diagnosed I was very sick. Up until almost a year ago I was sick, more than I was healthy. Luckily about a year ago I was diagnosed with being in remission. It feels really good to be healthy more than not. I feel one of the big reasons I am in remission is because of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. I found the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation seven years ago when I went to the taking steps walk and then found Team Challenge. A few years after that, I was introduced to the Young Professionals group. I had volunteered at their annual night in white. I had so much fun, I decided I needed to join the group so I could do more with them. That was about three years ago and ever since I have really been enjoying having meetings once a month, volunteering at many events and helping plan The Night in White. If you don’t know what the Night in White is it is a fundraiser that the Young Professionals group puts on every year. People all come dressed in white, there is a band, food, an auction and we honor a volunteer and a doctor. This is a must not miss of the season. Here is a link to the Crohn’s and Colitis website where you can buy your tickets. Hurry they will I quickly. Now finding a white outfit for the event can be hard some times. The reason can be because if you are like me you want to find the perfect outfit. I thought I would kick start your hunt for the perfect white outfit by showing you some cute dresses for women and nice looking pants and shirts for the guys. One tip that has helped me in the past is starting to look for a dress around graduation time since some schools require the girls to wear white and stores have sections for it. Well I hope this helps, happy hunting and I can’t wait to see you at The Night in White.
