Plants for People Who Can’t keep Plants Alive…
I have a green thumb when it comes to gardening, but when it comes to plants in my house I can’t seem to keep them alive. Unfortunately I know why, I am not good at remembering to water them. I do love greenery though. It makes me happy to have plants and flowers around me. I stopped buying plants a while ago because of this. Fortunately, recently I found succulents. These plants are so pretty and all look different from each other. These plants are also great for someone like me because they don’t need to be watered so much and are a hardier plants. When I got my plants I thought I was watering them right, but I guess I was not so I looked it up. Friends I thought I would share with you how to care for your air plants too.
First you need good sunlight for your succulents.
Second you need a pot with good drainage (pots like clay pots or concrete) glass pots are not good since they do not have good drainage
Third you should water your succulents every week and a half during the warmer weather (if you live in a humid climate. If you live in a drier one you need to water more often) and during colder weather you can go two weeks before watering. You should make sure to soak the soil and don’t mist. Misting will not do anything.
One other tip if you lose some of the bottom leaves that is OK it is just if the top ones start looking funny that you should worry.
Well I hope these tips help and happy plant buying!
