Music Helps When I Run Alone
I am running two half marathons this summer: one in Jamestown, RI in July and the other at Disneyland in August. Thinking about revving up training, had me thinking about my training playlist I made a few years ago. I have been thinking about how it is time for an update. I have a few new choices, but I thought I would present the question to you: what songs make you happy and get you up and dancing or dancing in the car? Also, if you are a runner, what songs motivate you to run or run faster?
Here is what my playlist consisted of now….
-Happy by Ferrel Williams
– Let It Go sung by Idina Menzel (from the Frozen sound track)
-Call me maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen
-Boondocks by Little Big Town
-The Wind by Zac Brown Band
-As Long As You Love Me by Justin Bieber
-Billie Jean by Michael Jackson
-Drama Queen sung by Lindsay Lohan
-Why Not sung by Hilary Duff
-Girls just want to have fun covered by Miley Cyrus
-Hay Girl by O.A.R
-Build Me Up Buttercup by the foundations
-Walking On Sunshine sung by Ali and Aj
-It’s A Sunshine Day by the Brady Bunch
-You Rock My World by Michael Jackson
Now some of the songs I am thinking about adding are….
-Happy by Pharrell Williams
-I’m Shipping up to Boston by Dropkick Murphy’s
-Gone, Gone, Gone by Phillip Phillips
