Brunch my Favorite Meal of the Day. What is Yours?
I am loving that brunch is getting so much play and love lately. There are so many restaurants in Boston who are hosting brunches on the weekends. Brunch is a lovely way to just relax, hangout with friends, eat delicious food, while drinking delectable drinks. But there is nothing like one company that is bringing brunch to new heights. Brunches of Boston is a company that pairs brunch with a fun activities like brunch and a theater show, spin class, boot camp or the event I went to which was brunch and Thanksgiving. This event was held the weekend before Thanksgiving at Hops n Scotch in Brookline. They had the most delicious brunch food, live music which was outstanding, mango and strawberry mimosa (with fruit you could put in it).
They also had gift bags and Charles River Apparel. Who came out gave everyone a sweatshirt. I met some of the vendors and all of them were so lovely. The creator and owner Alie Sockol started Brunches of Boston in 2013. She started it as an Instagram account because she had moved to a new part of the city and had no idea where to go get brunch. She used Instagram as a way to chronicle her adventures in brunching. People started asking for recommendation for good places to brunch and in 2015 Alie came up with the idea for the Business. Alie came up with the idea while on a trip to D.C. She said “the brunch Sean down there was nuts, with brunch party’s on every block”.
She wanted to bring that feeling back to Boston. She also wanted to crest a brunch community where people who all like brunch could come together. In April 2016 Alie launched her first event. It was such a success and she had so many restraints wanting to work with her she decided to go full-time. She came up with the idea of pairing brunch with fitness because she had a connection with it. Alie thought this would just be a natural pair. Her brunch fit events can have up to 25-30 people and her brunch events can have around 100 people.
She also had beauty brunch where she had 50 people. I enjoyed the Thanksgiving brunch I went to so much and there were so many people I can see why she is so successful. I am so excited to go to another event soon. Do you like to brunch? Come check out Alie’s company http:://www.brunchesofboston.com
